Corporate management

Compliance

Compliance with laws and regulations is a fundamental building block of our corporate success. We have established a Compliance department within the company.

Provide orientation

Safety through clear rules

Laws and rules are not only the basis of a constitutional state. Within a company, they also form the foundation for respectful interaction and valuable collaboration - and thus for business success. At BUTTING, we are aware of the importance of laws as well as internal rules and have established the Compliance department specifically for this purpose.

Compliance

Code of Conduct

Compliance means that our business activities always comply with legal requirements and ethical principles. Our Code of Conduct sets out clear rules that guide our actions in competition, foreign trade, data protection and the prevention of corruption and money laundering.

Compliance management

The Code of Conduct forms the basis of our compliance management. Its purpose is to communicate laws and rules as well as BUTTING's Code of Conduct to employees, customers and suppliers and to ensure compliance with them. It is therefore an important element of our Integrated Management System.

Acting for the benefit of all

In addition to the Code of Conduct, our actions are determined by our mission statement and our understanding of leadership. In this way, we shape our corporate culture for the benefit of our employees, our company and all business partners and ensure that our corporate behaviour is impeccable, correct and exemplary at all times.

Supplier Code of Conduct

Responsibility for our supply chain

We believe in the need to assume our responsibility in the global supply chain and to contribute to minimising human rights violations and environmental risks in our business activities. We are aware of our responsibility to ensure that our products and services do not lead to human rights violations in our supply chain.

To ensure sustainability and transparency in the supply chain, we supplemented our supplier management and the commercial and qualitative supplier assessment in 2023 with an official Supplier Code of Conduct, which formulates the legal requirements as well as our expectations for ethical and honest business behaviour with our business partners.

Honouring human rights

In a police statement, we commit to respect and protect human rights throughout our entire supply chain. This particularly includes the avoidance of forced labour, child labour and discrimination.

Fair working conditions

We are committed to safe and fair working conditions in our supply chains and expect the same from our suppliers. This includes fair wages, working time regulations and a safe working environment.

Responsibility for the environment

We are aware of our responsibility for the environment and strive to minimise our ecological impact. We are committed to complying with environmental standards and protecting natural resources.

Maximum transparency

We organise our supply chains transparently by disclosing information about our suppliers and business partners. This enables our stakeholders to trace the origin and manufacturing conditions of our products.

Our duty of care

We take appropriate measures to assess and minimise risks in our supply chain. This includes regularly auditing our suppliers and working with them to achieve common standards.

Cooperation and commitment

We work with government authorities, business partners and other stakeholders to support the implementation of the Act on Corporate Due Diligence in Supply Chains in every respect and to promote best practice.

Continuous improvement

We continuously monitor and improve our efforts to comply with the Act on Corporate Due Diligence in Supply Chains. This includes reviewing our business policy, processes and performance.
